Surabaya, February 23, 2026 — The light enjoyed today is the result of the dedication and hard work of those who came before, who devoted their lives to keeping the nation’s energy flowing. As a form of the highest respect for these “heroes of electricity,” PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) carried out its Healthy Home Renovation Program for Mr. Sutarno, a retiree from PLN NP Headquarters in Surabaya who had dedicated decades of service.
This program was born from a heartfelt synergy among the Indonesian Electricity Retirees Association (IK PLN), LAZIS PLN NP, and PLN NP’s CSR program. The inauguration, held on February 11, 2026, was attended directly by PLN NP Director of Human Capital Management and Administration, TB Ari Wibawa Mukti, together with the management of IK PLN Central and IK PLN Cirata Branch.
The house, which had previously been in an uninhabitable condition with a leaking roof, damaged ceiling, and severe deterioration in the walls, kitchen, and bathroom, began to be renovated on December 15, 2025, and was officially handed over on February 11, 2026. The inauguration was attended by the management of IK PLN Central, IK PLN Cirata Branch, as well as PLN NP Director of Human Capital Management and Administration, TB Ari Wibawa Mukti.
PLN NP Director of Human Capital Management and Administration, TB Ari Wibawa Mukti, emphasized that this program is not merely a social initiative, but a form of appreciation for PLN personnel who have devoted themselves to the nation.
“The Healthy Home Renovation Program is not only about repairing a physical building, but about providing safety, comfort, and a dignified standard of living for our retirees. We believe that PLN Nusantara Power’s achievements today would not have been possible without the dedication of our predecessors. Therefore, it is our responsibility to continue being present and ensuring that they still feel the care and support of the PLN family,” said Ari.
He also added that this initiative reflects the values of togetherness, family spirit, and mutual cooperation that form the DNA of PLN Nusantara Power. Since 2021, a total of 39 retirees’ houses have been renovated, and in 2026 the company is targeting the renovation of around 10 additional houses.
Sutarno, as the beneficiary, expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided. The house, which is now far more livable, has become a precious gift for him and his family in retirement.
The Healthy Home Renovation Program is not only a manifestation of the company’s social care, but also a symbol of respect for the contributions of retirees who have helped sustain the nation’s energy supply. Through the synergy of IK PLN, LAZIS PLN NP, and PLN NP’s CSR program, PLN Nusantara Power hopes this initiative will continue and deliver positive impacts to even more beneficiaries in the future.
