Jakarta, September 22, 2026 – PT PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) is set to participate in Electricity Connect 2026, which will take place from September 22–24, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City. PLN Nusantara Power will carry the theme “Powering Beyond Borders”, representing the company’s transformation as it expands its capabilities beyond conventional power generation while strengthening its presence in global markets.
Through its participation, PLN NP will showcase the company’s evolution from managing and operating power plants into a provider of integrated energy solutions encompassing operation and maintenance (O&M), maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), technical services, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), energy investment, as well as the development of energy transition technologies and solutions.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, said Electricity Connect 2026 provides an important opportunity for PLN NP to demonstrate how its extensive experience in the power generation industry has evolved into broader capabilities that can create greater value both domestically and internationally.
“PLN NP’s scale, portfolio, and experience demonstrate how PLN Nusantara Power continues to evolve beyond its role as a power generation company. The expertise we have built over the years has become a strong foundation for delivering energy solutions, developing collaborations, and unlocking new opportunities in global markets,” Ruly said.
At Electricity Connect 2026, PLN NP will highlight a number of international milestones that demonstrate the continued development of its capabilities across several countries.
In Bangladesh, for example, PLN NP has carried out various MRO and technical services activities before expanding into a major inspection project at the 150 MW Chandpur Combined Cycle Power Plant and providing O&M services for the 400 MW Bibiyana South Combined Cycle Power Plant. This journey reflects PLN NP’s business development from specialized technical services into more comprehensive and sustainable power plant operation and maintenance services.
PLN NP’s international footprint also extends to the Middle East. Its MRO experience at the Rabigh and Shoaiba Power Plants in Saudi Arabia, which dates back to the 2000s, has entered a new phase through a number of technical collaborations in 2025, including services provided to power plants with capacities exceeding 600 MW.
Meanwhile, in Malaysia, PLN NP’s capabilities have expanded from technical services and gas turbine inspections to EPC works for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project across several locations, as well as collaboration in the development of Bio-CNG as part of more sustainable energy solutions.
“These international experiences demonstrate that Indonesia’s power generation expertise has significant potential for further development. Going forward, we aim to make collaboration and strategic partnerships one of the key gateways for expanding PLN NP’s global footprint,” Ruly added.
Through its Energy Transition Solutions, PLN NP will also showcase a range of technology developments and innovations, including Bio-CNG, Hydrogen Refueling Systems, co-firing, and other solutions designed to support decarbonization and the development of future energy ecosystems. PLN NP’s master showcase will also feature developments in the hydrogen ecosystem, mobile Hydrogen Refueling Systems (HRS Mobile), and pilot Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technologies.
Beyond serving as an exhibition space, PLN NP’s booth is also designed as a platform for interaction and collaboration. Throughout the three-day Electricity Connect 2026 event, PLN NP will host a series of mini talk shows discussing global markets, international expertise, strategic partnerships, as well as various technologies and solutions supporting the energy transition.
Through these forums, PLN NP aims to create opportunities for discussion among the company, strategic partners, technology providers, industry players, and energy-sector stakeholders regarding potential collaborations and the future development of the energy industry.
“We want Electricity Connect to be more than just a platform to showcase what PLN NP has accomplished. It is an opportunity to bring together expertise, technology, and partnerships to create new possibilities for the future,” Ruly said.
