Jakarta, 15 December 2025 — PT PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) has demonstrated its humanitarian commitment by acting swiftly and continuously to deliver assistance to communities affected by floods and landslides across several areas in Aceh. Despite extreme weather conditions and limited access, PLN NP remains on standby to support emergency response efforts and post-disaster recovery.
As of Sunday (14 December), PLN Nusantara Power—through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER/TJSL) program and LAZIS PLN NP—has distributed humanitarian assistance in the form of basic necessities, medical support, and food packages. The total number of beneficiaries has reached more than 13,000 people, spread across multiple affected locations.
The assistance provided includes rice, instant food, medicines, baby supplies, and other essential needs. Distribution has been prioritized for areas directly impacted by the disaster and facing limited access, carried out in coordination with local stakeholders, volunteers, and relevant authorities to ensure aid is delivered accurately and effectively.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, stated that PLN NP’s presence during the disaster reflects the Company’s social responsibility toward the community.
“PLN Nusantara Power is present not only to maintain the reliability of electricity supply, but also to stand with communities during difficult times. The basic necessities we provide are a manifestation of our care and solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Aceh. We continue to coordinate closely to ensure that assistance is delivered swiftly, safely, and equitably,” said Ruly.
With parts of the infrastructure affected by the disaster, PLN NP has deployed emergency response teams to conduct intensive coordination throughout the logistics distribution process. Aid delivery is carried out in phases, taking into account safety considerations and the evolving conditions of areas that remain vulnerable.
Ruly added that PLN NP’s humanitarian response in Aceh involves multiple operational units across the Company.
“Through our units in Aceh, such as UP Nagan Raya and UP Arun, PLN Nusantara Power has moved together to deliver assistance. On 3 December, we even dispatched aid from Medan via air transportation to accelerate distribution. As of Sunday, we have reached more than 13,000 beneficiaries,” he added.
In addition to humanitarian assistance, PLN Nusantara Power continues to ensure the readiness and reliability of power generation units in Aceh and surrounding areas. This effort is critical to maintaining electricity supply, which plays a vital role in emergency response operations and post-disaster recovery.
PLN Nusantara Power reaffirmed its commitment to remain on standby, strengthen solidarity, and be an integral part of the national humanitarian response—supporting communities in recovering from disasters while safeguarding the security and reliability of the electricity system in affected regions.
