Jakarta, 11 November 2025 — PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) once again took part in Electricity Connect 2025, held on 19–21 November 2025 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). Coinciding with its 30th anniversary, PLN NP carried the theme “Pioneering Greener Power”, reaffirming its commitment to becoming a pioneer of energy transformation toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
The theme aligns with Electricity Connect 2025, themed “Strengthening Energy Resilience, Powering Sovereignty,” which underscores the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders in strengthening energy resilience and accelerating the transition toward a sustainable energy system.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, stated that PLN NP’s participation in the event serves as a strategic moment to showcase the company’s leadership role in Indonesia’s national energy transformation.
“As part of the PLN Group, we continue to strive to become pioneers in delivering integrated green solutions—from renewable energy power plant development and green hydrogen innovation to supporting technologies. Pioneering Greener Power reflects our courage to go further in delivering a clean and sovereign energy future,” said Ruly Firmansyah.
At Indonesia’s largest electricity exhibition, PLN NP presented a wide range of innovations and recent achievements that demonstrate its concrete contribution toward achieving the Net Zero Emission 2060 target. Key innovations showcased include:
Bio-CNG: Utilization of palm oil waste as co-firing fuel at PLTGU Belawan, partially substituting natural gas.
Green Hydrogen Plant (GHP) at UP Muara Karang: Indonesia’s first green hydrogen production facility, powered by solar PV and supported by Renewable Energy Certificates.
Hydrogen Hybrid Electric Vehicle, a collaboration between PLN NP and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)—Indonesia’s first green hydrogen-powered vehicle with a driving range of up to 270 km.
Hydrogen Fuel Cell Generator (HFCG): A zero-emission power supply technology already deployed in island areas such as Gili Ketapang.
Beyond technological innovations, PLN NP also highlighted the business portfolios of its subsidiaries:
PLN Nusantara Power Construction (PLN NPC), showcasing EPC projects for power plants and transmission infrastructure, including international projects such as Malaysia’s ECRL and Tarakan Gasification.
PLN Nusantara Power Services (PLN NPS), providing Operation & Maintenance services for 46 power plant units with a total capacity of 6,757 MW, along with engineering and green energy services.
PLN Nusantara Renewables (PLN NR), presenting its green investment portfolio and an interactive monitoring display of the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant.
PLN Suku Cadang (PLN SC), featuring product catalogs and innovations supporting the hydrogen ecosystem, including hydrogen motors and portable hydrogen fuel cells.
Visitors were also invited to experience an interactive carbon calculator, explore Bio-CNG scale models, and observe live simulations of co-firing and green hydrogen technologies.
During the exhibition, a number of strategic cooperation agreements with national and international partners were scheduled to be signed, further reinforcing PLN NP’s commitment to expanding collaboration toward a sustainable energy system.
As a note, Electricity Connect originated from an initiative by PLN Nusantara Power in 2016 under the name PJB Connect, later evolving into Nusantara Power Connect, before ultimately transforming into Electricity Connect in collaboration with the PLN Group and the Indonesian Electricity Society (MKI). To date, the event has become a strategic platform bringing together regulators, industry players, and innovators to share knowledge and unlock investment opportunities in the energy sector.
Through its participation in Electricity Connect 2025, PLN Nusantara Power reaffirmed its role as a key driver of Indonesia’s energy transition, while strengthening its contribution to delivering reliable, clean, and sustainable electricity for Indonesia and the global community. (*)
