Jakarta, December 31, 2025 — PT PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) continues to distribute humanitarian assistance to communities affected by floods and landslides in Aceh and North Sumatra. Despite dynamic field conditions and limited access in several areas, PLN NP remains committed to ensuring that logistical support and basic necessities reach those in need.
The assistance has been mobilized through the synergy of Lazis PLN Nusantara Power, the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL), and the support of the PLN Nusantara Power Employees’ Wives Association (PIKK PLN NP). As of Wednesday (December 31), the total number of beneficiaries has reached 71,995 people across various affected locations.
The aid distributed includes rice, instant food, drinking water, medicines, baby supplies, and health service support. Distribution is carried out in stages, prioritizing directly affected areas and locations with limited access, in close coordination with local governments, volunteers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure that assistance is delivered accurately and effectively.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, emphasized that PLN NP is present not only to safeguard electricity supply reliability, but also to strengthen communities during times of disaster.
“PLN Nusantara Power stands with the community in difficult times. The assistance distributed through Lazis, TJSL, and the support of PIKK PLN NP reflects our care and solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Aceh and North Sumatra. We continue to coordinate closely to ensure that aid is delivered quickly, safely, and evenly,” said Ruly.
In parallel with its humanitarian response, PLN NP is also ensuring the rapid restoration of electricity supply. Through the Arun Gas Engine Power Plant (PLTMG Arun), PLN Nusantara Power has played a key role in restoring electricity in Aceh following the floods and landslides that struck several areas in late November. PLTMG Arun is currently operating at full capacity, supporting the recovery of community activities and vital sectors.
In other areas, the Pandan Generation Unit (UP Pandan) in North Sumatra continues to carry out improvements and strengthen coordination to accelerate power normalization in disaster-affected regions, as part of PLN NP’s commitment to comprehensive recovery efforts.
PLN Nusantara Power reaffirms its commitment to remaining on standby, strengthening mutual cooperation, supporting communities in recovering from the impacts of disasters, and maintaining the reliability of the electricity system in affected areas.
