Jakarta, 12 December 2025 — PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) once again demonstrated its strong commitment to improving community quality of life by winning two Gold Awards at the GENTING Collaboration Summit (GCS) 2025, organized by the Ministry of Population and Family Development / National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN). The awards were presented to PLN NP Bukit Asam Power Plant Unit (UP Bukit Asam) and PLN NP’s subsidiary, PLN Nusantara Renewables (PLN NR), in recognition of their sustained contributions to the Gerakan Orang Tua Asuh Cegah Stunting (GENTING) program.
The awards were presented by the Minister of Population and Family Development / Head of BKKBN, Dr. Wihaji, to PLN NP Corporate Secretary, Hamidi Hamid, during the GCS 2025 event held on Wednesday (10 December) in Jakarta. This achievement further underscores PLN NP’s role as a strategic government partner in accelerating the reduction of stunting rates across Indonesia.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, expressed his appreciation for the recognition and emphasized that the achievement reflects strong collaboration across PLN NP units and strategic partners.
“Energy is not only about electricity—it is about ensuring that the nation’s future grows strong and healthy. Stunting prevention is a long-term investment for Indonesia, and we will continue to strengthen our contributions across all our operational areas. This award motivates PLN Nusantara Power to go even further in supporting the creation of a high-quality golden generation,” said Ruly.
The Gold Awards were achieved through a series of comprehensive intervention programs implemented by UP Bukit Asam and PLN Nusantara Renewables. Since 2024, UP Bukit Asam has carried out essential initiatives such as the Bapak/Ibu Asuh Stunting (BASS) program, supporting 18 children affected by stunting for six months, women’s entrepreneurship training to strengthen household economic resilience, and joint stunting prevention campaigns with BKKBN Muara Enim in 2025. These programs include health education, nutritional assistance, parenting counseling, and the provision of supplementary nutritious food (PMT) for children and pregnant women.
Meanwhile, PLN Nusantara Renewables, in collaboration with PT Shenhua Guohua Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PT SGPJB)—the operator of PLTU Jawa 7—implemented similar community health interventions benefiting more than 1,071 recipients across three villages in Serang Regency. Activities included the distribution of supplementary food and vitamins, Posyandu programs, child growth and development monitoring (SDIDTK), family nutrition education, healthy parenting empowerment, rehabilitation of Posyandu facilities, and the provision of medical equipment and supporting infrastructure.
The consistent implementation of these programs demonstrates that stunting prevention is not merely a health intervention, but a collective movement based on pentahelix collaboration. Through GENTING, BKKBN has reached 38 provinces and 512 regencies/cities, achieving 157.39% of targeted beneficiaries, highlighting the success of the national strategy supported by active participation from state-owned enterprises such as PLN NP.
With the achievement of these two Gold Awards, PLN Nusantara Power reaffirmed its commitment to continuously delivering added value for society—not only by providing reliable and sustainable energy, but also through social programs that address fundamental community needs, supporting Indonesia’s journey toward becoming a stunting-free nation.
