Jakarta, July 15, 2025 — PT PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) has received a prestigious award from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (KKP) as the Most Compliant Holder of Marine Spatial Utilization Approval (KKPRL). The award was presented directly by the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, to the Director of Coal-Fired Power Plant Operations of PLN NP, M. Irwansyah Putra, during an award ceremony held in Jakarta on Tuesday (July 15).
This award serves as an incentive for compliance in marine spatial management that supports the implementation of Spatial Planning and Zoning Plans (RTR/RZ), as stipulated in Government Regulation Number 21 of 2021 on Spatial Planning Implementation.
PLN Nusantara Power received the award in the Special Terminal Business Activity category, reflecting the Company’s consistent commitment to upholding effective, sustainable, and environmentally aligned marine spatial planning in line with national development priorities.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, stated that the award is not merely a form of recognition, but also a reminder of the Company’s responsibility to maintain a balance between power infrastructure development and marine environmental preservation.
“This award reinforces that we are not only building power plants, but also a sustainable future. Compliance with marine spatial planning is an integral part of our responsibility to operate with integrity and sustainability, in support of Indonesia’s Vision 2045,” Ruly said.
Currently, PLN Nusantara Power manages more than a dozen special terminals across various regions in Indonesia, including those supporting PLTU Paiton, PLTU Indramayu, PLTU Pacitan, PLTU Nagan Raya, and PLTMG Bawean, among others. These special terminals play a vital role in supporting power plant operations by facilitating the receipt of fuel such as coal, LNG, and fuel oil.
