Jakarta, 8 December 2025 — PT PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) has demonstrated its strong humanitarian commitment by swiftly delivering disaster relief assistance to communities affected by floods and landslides in Aceh. Amid extreme weather conditions and limited access, PLN NP remains on standby to ensure that affected residents receive essential logistical support to endure and recover from the disaster. As of Monday (8 December), through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER/TJSL) program, the Company has distributed aid consisting of basic necessities, medical assistance, and food packages, reaching more than 2,170 beneficiaries.
As a tangible expression of care, PLN NP provided various essential supplies, including rice, instant food, medicines, and baby necessities. The assistance was prioritized for communities directly impacted by the disaster, particularly those in hard-to-reach areas, in close coordination with local stakeholders and on-site volunteers.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, emphasized that PLN NP’s presence goes beyond ensuring energy reliability—it reflects the Company’s role as part of the affected communities’ extended family.
“PLN Nusantara Power remains on standby and present for the community. The assistance we provide—basic necessities such as rice, instant food, medicines, and baby supplies—is our effort to ease the burden of our brothers and sisters in Aceh. We will continue to coordinate with relevant parties to ensure that aid is delivered swiftly, accurately, and evenly,” said Ruly.
With parts of the infrastructure severely disrupted by the disaster, PLN NP’s emergency response teams continue to conduct intensive coordination to ensure that aid distribution is well-targeted. Logistics delivery is carried out in stages, taking into account team safety and the ongoing risks in affected areas.
“PLN NP has not remained idle in Aceh. Through our various units in the region—such as UP Nagan Raya, UP Arun, and PLTD Cot Trueng—we have moved together to distribute assistance to affected communities. On 3 December, we even dispatched aid from Medan via air transportation,” Ruly added.
In addition to delivering humanitarian aid, PLN NP continues to maintain the operational readiness of power generation units around the affected areas to ensure that electricity supply remains reliable and supports disaster recovery efforts.
PLN Nusantara Power reaffirmed its commitment to remain on standby, strengthen solidarity, and play an active role in national humanitarian efforts to help communities recover from disasters. The Company also ensures the safety and reliability of power generation units in Aceh, so they can continue to operate optimally in supporting public needs.
