Jakarta, July 6, 2026 – PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP), the power generation subholding of PT PLN (Persero), has announced strong operational results for the 2025 fiscal year. Through strategic operational enhancements, improved efficiency, and the optimization of generation resources, the company successfully realized a total energy production of 66,919 GWh.
A cornerstone of this year’s performance was the company’s success in optimizing its Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by 11.4%. This efficiency was achieved through an optimized energy mix, which not only streamlined power generation processes but also contributed significantly to strengthening the national electricity system.
Ruly Firmansyah, President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, attributed these achievements to the collective efforts of the entire workforce and the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainable transformation.
"PLN NP is not only focused on increasing energy production but also on ensuring that every generation process becomes more efficient, cleaner, and creates added value for society," said Firmansyah. "These operational milestones serve as a testament to PLN NP’s transformation into a world-class, adaptive, and sustainable energy company."
The company also reported positive gains in plant reliability, notably surpassing targets for the Equivalent Forced Outage Rate (EFOR) in its coal-fired power plants (PLTU). This improvement underscores the increased readiness and reliability of PLN NP’s generation units in supporting a stable and high-quality national power supply.
In line with PLN’s "Green and Lean" transformation agenda, PLN NP successfully reached its carbon emission reduction targets, achieving 110% of its 2025 goal (a 1.46% reduction). This progress highlights the company’s dedication to the energy transition and environmentally responsible generation management.
Yusuf Didi Setiarto, Deputy President Director of PT PLN (Persero), expressed his appreciation for PLN NP’s contribution to meeting operational targets and cost efficiency within the PLN Group during the company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM).
"I commend PLN NP’s remarkable performance in maintaining solid energy production while significantly reducing its Cost of Goods Sold," stated Setiarto. "This reflects PLN NP’s tangible contribution to national power reliability and corporate efficiency, aligning with government programs focused on cost optimization across the PLN Group."
Beyond its core electricity business, PLN NP recorded strong growth in its "Beyond kWh" sector, generating IDR 1.1 trillion in revenue—reaching 160% of its IDR 688 billion target. This revenue was driven by diverse business lines, including international projects in Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Timor-Leste, reflecting growing global market confidence in PLN NP’s competence in managing cross-border energy projects.
In the realm of corporate governance, PLN NP achieved the highest score in the Good Corporate Governance (GCG) Maturity Level assessment across all PLN Group entities. This underscores the company’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability as the foundation of its operations.
"For us, sustainability is not just about green technology; it is about integrity and sound corporate governance," Firmansyah added. "With a strong governance foundation, PLN NP is prepared to expand collaborations, strengthen strategic partnerships, and support Indonesia’s energy transition roadmap."
In addition to these achievements, PLN Nusantara Power continues to expand its generation portfolio, developing new power plants with a total capacity of 696.9 MW across Indonesia. This expansion is a strategic step toward safeguarding national power security while supporting future energy demand.
